Broncos' WR Walker to have surgery

10/18/2007 - Englewood, CO (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Denver Broncos No. 1 wide receiver Javon Walker will undergo surgery to clean out his injured right knee.

According to the Broncos' web site, head coach Mike Shanahan made the announcement after practice on Thursday. The sixth-year wideout is not expected to miss the rest of the season. According to Shanahan, the doctors feel Walker could be ready in a few weeks.

Walker had surgery in the offseason on the knee, but he hasn't played since Week 3 when he had just two catches for 10 yards against Jacksonville. He went through limited practice on Wednesday, only to not practice at all on Thursday.

For the season, Walker has 19 catches for 230 yards with no touchdowns.
